Zoocasa, the web-based real estate brokerage, has confirmed that it's closing its doors.

In an email sent to its homebuyer and investor clients, and republished by a number of Twitter users, the company has stated that it will cease to be registered and “will be prohibited from trading in real estate as a brokerage” as of June 22, 2015.
This is great news for all Toronto realtors.

 Toronto Real Estate Board President Paul Etherington announced 11,706 sales reported by Greater Toronto REALTORS® in May 2015. This result was up by 6.3 % in comparison to 11,013 sales reported in May 2014. For the TREB market area as a whole, sales were up for all major housing types. However, in the City of Toronto, where the supply of low-rise listings has been constrained, sales were down for detached homes.

For first two weeks of August 2013 3359 sales were reported.
This result was a 22% increase compared to 2,743 sales in August 2012.
Sales were up on a year-over-year basis for all home types. Total new listings were up
