Toronto has not seen a let up in activity since the late summer of 2019 in detached, semi detached and townhomes. Our prices are going through the roof as multiple offers, sometimes in excess of 30 offers is not uncommon. There is very little being listed and a very high pent up demand.  More and more people want back yard space and properties with pools because of the lock down. Camps will once again be closed this summer also creating this demand.

The Greater Toronto Area had a record-breaking October for home sales.
The Toronto Real Estate Board says that there were 8,804 homes sold through its MLS in the month, up from 8,512 a year earlier. The average price was up 7.3 per cent to $630,876 with prices driven by low rise properties.
TREB president Mark McLean was pleased with the results, but warned that the province could hit home sales if it decides to introduce a municipal land transfer tax in addition to the current provincial one.

Toronto Real Estate Board announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported a record number of transactions for the month of September through TREB’s MLS® System. There was a combined 8,200 home sales reported for September 2015. This result was up 2.5 per cent compared to September 2014. TREB MLS® sales through the first nine months of 2015 amounted to 80,331, which also represented a record result and a 9.5 per cent increase compared to the first three quarters of 2014.  We are on track for record home sales reported through TREB’s MLS® System this year. Toronto Real Estate Board reported 2,496 sales through the TorontoMLS system during the first 14 days of December 2014. Up by 1.9 % compared to the same period in December2013. Over the same period, new listings were down by 1.8 & year over year.
The average selling price for December mid-month transactions was $565,873, which represented a year-over-year increase of 8.6 %. Price growth was driven by the detached market segment in the
City of Toronto.
Demand remains high but inventory is low. Buyers are having a tough time getting the homes they want because of multiple offers, which continue through December.

May 6, 2009 -- In April 2009, Greater Toronto REALTORS® reported 8,107 sales - down seven per cent from April 2008. TORONTO, April 17, 2009
- Greater Toronto REALTORS® reported 3,681 transactions in the

first half of April, down seven per cent compared to 3,955 during the same period last year.
"In lock-step with the favorable March results, resale housing market conditions in the first half of
April were markedly improved compared to the winter time," said TREB President Maureen
O'Neill.
"Households that were on the sidelines at the beginning of the year are now taking advantage of
lower interest rates and lower home prices."
