As soon as I heard about the Homes for Heroes program I knew immediately I wanted to be involved. Giving back to the heroes is something I feel very passionate about. My father served in the United States Army during the Korean War and later spent over 30 years serving the community as a teacher. For the past several years I have been an active volunteer with the troops at Walter Reed Medical Center and Fort Belvoir.
