I was born and raised in the Reno/Tahoe area so as soon as I heard about the Homes for Heroes program I was determined to become an affiliate. Ever since I have been a real estate broker I have searched for ways to assist and give back to our local military men and woman as well as our local police and fire department personnel through my business. I am very passionate about the Homes for Heroes program because I grew up hearing about family members who were true heroes and how proud I was to be related to them. My father’s cousin, was serving on a navy ship when the ship was struck by a massive Japanese air raid and rapidly sunk. He rescued many of his wounded shipmates by placing them aboard life rafts before he died of exhaustion. The Navy named a Destroyer Ship the “USS NAIFEH” in his memory.
