minnesota: Welcome Jeremy James, Realtor – Edina, Minnesota
- 08/26/13 01:54 AM
Hello….my name is Jeremy James and when I found out about Homes for Heroes I had two questions: Where do I sign up and when can I start giving back? I come from a long line of family that has served in the military, the Air Force mostly. My father and brother were both in the Air Force and their stories and photos inspired me. My father flew the F-86 Saber and even flew with Chuck Yeager! I could not be more thankful for their service and I am even more thankful that they were both blessed enough to

minnesota: Imitation is the best form of flattery, until……….
- 06/03/09 08:08 AM
Until your good name is besmirched. Homes for Heroes in the past has taken people leveraging our brand as flattery. We often ask if they would like to continue to use our good name by joining forces with us, and if they do not want to we are okay with that decision also. But recently something came up that does need to be addressed. We will let the Morris Daily Herald explain it. Illinois allegation hurts ‘real' Heroes Minneapolis, Minn-When Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan took enforcement action against the Minooka, Ill.-based Homes for Heroes Inc., says Brad Oosterhuis, it was

- 01/30/09 10:40 AM
On January 26th, 2009, Minnesota lost a Hero. Chief Warrant Officer 3 Philip Windorski Jr. gave his life in Iraq. Homes for Heroes sends our sincerest condolences to CWO3 Windorski’s wife and 3 children. We are truly sorry for your loss and sacrifice. May God bless you and guide you through this difficult and trying time. This nation owes you our gratitude for your husbands sacrifice. When I heard of CWO3 Windorski’s death I wanted to know more about him. I am not sure that you realize this, but the rank of Warrant Officer is something that is not lightly handed

minnesota: Schmobal Florming?
- 01/19/09 01:21 AM
Global Warming, Schmobal Florming!! At the Homes for Heroes office the whole past week it has been below zero Set a record here for the coldest days in December and January. I kind of liked the idea of our planet warming up. Why do we have to stop it? Us up here in Land of the Lakes would be able to extend the fishing season, increased growing season etc. So at time of posting it got back up to a balmy 19! Yay, I finally get to put on shorts! Here are some videos of how cold it can get here.

minnesota: Car keys are illegal? Warm cars not allowed.
- 01/17/09 03:14 AM
When ever I deal with government I always learn something. Whether updating license tabs or renewing my drivers license I come away with another tidbit of information that I did not have before and usually regretting that I did not that information before hand. Things like, if you start your car in the city of Minneapolis and let it idle for more than 3 minutes it is a $400 fine. Yes you got it right. If it is 20 below zero and your car is parked out on the street and you go out and start it to let the engine

minnesota: 400 Lbs., Tetris and Flame outs!
- 01/16/09 07:21 AM
The big news of the day is the successful water ditching by US Air pilot Chesley B. Sullenberger. To think he dead sticked (no power) that plane in so perfectly as to not even break off a wing is truly amazing. My hats off to his skill, demeanor and cast iron B**ls. The aircraft was an Airbus A320. What is the significance of that you ask? It is a fly by wire aircraft, meaning that there is no cables connecting the pilots control stick to control surfaces. On older aircraft when you pulled the joy stick to go up you would
