Being the daughter of a Veteran the Homes for Heroes program speaks volumes to me. SPOKANE, Wash. Homes for Heroes kicked off in Spokane Thursday, giving local heroes – military personnel, firefighters, law enforcement, teacher and health workers – the opportunity to get discounts when buying and selling homes. The program gives back 25 percent of the realtor's commission to the heroes as a way of saying thank you to them.
