I joined the Homes for Heroes program for a similar reason that my brother, who is an Army veteran and Home for Heroes Realtor joined. Our father nearly lost his life to a heart attack during a round of golf a few years ago. If it was not for the quick action of an off-duty firefighter who performed CPR on our father, he would not be with us today.
