With 11 years (and counting) Active Duty in the Navy, I have seen what service to our country is all about. As a member of the United States Navy Band, we celebrate and honor the heroes who risk their lives to make ours better. When I became a Realtor, I wanted to give back to my fellow service members, and all the other Heroes out there. Homes for Heroes gives me that ability, and I hope to give thanks to those out there that serve us so well.

My name is LeAnne Anies. I am a mom, mother-in-law, former Navy service member, chef's wife, Realtor and lover of God!
We are a retired US Navy family. My husband served 24 years and retired in 2009.  Our family was blessed to live in Greece, California, Hawaii, Florida and Virginia. We have been Fairfax County residents for 13 years, living in Herndon 12 of those years. I have been selling real estate in Northern Virginia since 2002. I love what I do!

va: Welcome Desiree Rejeili - Real Estate Agent - Manassas, VA - 02/16/15 04:50 AM
This may sound all so bizarre but I got one morning very recently wanting to find a way to give back to my community. I picked up the phone and spoke to a former colleague, also a friend of mine who works for a lender, and who is also affiliated with Homes for Heroes Program and had a conversation about what I was trying to accomplish and about giving back and low and behold she mentioned the Homes for Heroes Program.
I was very excited and I feel unbelievably honored and privileged to have been able to be inducted into the … (0 comments)

va: Welcome Gina Poindexter - Realtor - Chantilly, VA - 06/02/14 08:21 AM

I am very passionate about the Homes for Heroes program because I grew up hearing about family members who were true heroes and how proud I was to be related to them. My father’s cousin, was serving on a navy ship when the ship was struck by a massive Japanese air raid and rapidly sunk. He rescued many of his wounded shipmates by placing them aboard life rafts before he died of exhaustion. The Navy named a Destroyer Ship the “USS NAIFEH” in his memory. My mother’s cousin was the first American Jet Ace in history, and my daughter recently married a … (0 comments)

va: Welcome Christine Anglin - Realtor - Chesapeake, VA - 03/13/14 03:00 AM

I am retired U.S. Navy and served my country honorably for 24 years. Joining the Homes for Heroes® program allows me to support my sisters and brothers in and out of uniform as well as other Heroes who protect, teach, and care of our country every day. I have never had to lay my life on the line when I served but can appreciate how much our Hero’s go through on a daily basis to do what is right for our country. This is my way, a small and personal one, of giving back and letting them know that I appreciate … (0 comments)

va: Welcome Stacy Bevill, Realtor - Alexandria, VA - 09/15/13 03:30 AM
I joined Homes for Heroes because I managed after school programs for youth and teens in my first career.  Teachers, police officers, and firefighters participated in our program development and delivery.  We all watched over the communities' children throughout the day until they were returned home safely to their families at night.  Nurses, doctors, and EMT's mended community members bodies whenever necessary.  In addition, soldiers protected our borders in order for these communities to thrive.  We were a part of the network that contributed to the health of the community.
After 20 years, I started a career a real estate.  I … (0 comments)

va: Welcome John Landry, Lender – Gainesville, VA - 08/12/13 03:26 AM
My name is John Landry and I'm a mortgage loan officer with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation and a proud affiliate of Homes for Heroes®.  Until June of 2012, I was actually a high school math teacher for Arlington Public Schools in Virginia.  As a teacher, I gained a deep appreciation for how hard our Heroes work.  When the opportunity came my way to transition into the world of mortgage lending, I was hesitant until I came across Fairway.  At Fairway, we look at mortgage lending as an opportunity to help people with some of the most important financial decisions of their … (0 comments)

I love Virginia.  I was born and raised in Virginia... why live anywhere else?   I enjoy helping people find their new home or sell their current home in order for them to move on with their life. I joined Keller Williams Realty in 2009 and have been the #1 Agent in my office for 2011 and 2012. I would like to personally thank you for serving our community - your actions are not forgotten and you are appreciated!

va: Our real estate affiliates have found the program gives them a unique niche in a very competitive real estate market. - 08/04/09 04:33 AM
The program was created to take care of heroes first, but our real estate affiliates have found the program gives them a unique niche in a very competitive real estate market.  Many home buyers have been sitting on the sidelines, but with low interest rates and incentive programs for new homebuyers, many of our heroes are looking to buy their first home.
The Homes For Heroes program has taken bold efforts to expand its nationally recognized program to more heroes across the country.  The program provides discounts and rebates to the "Heroes" that live in our communities.  "As a … (0 comments)

va: An address can be just as important as the house itself. - 06/01/09 09:44 AM
I saw an article the other day about how a town changed the name of a street because the street name was causing problems for the residents. Deliveries were not being made, and there were numerous indecent exposures going on at all times of day. No, don't worry, we at Homes for Heroes have not run into any problems. So that must have you asking yourselves, how could a street name cause that much grief? Is it a new road? Nope. That would be too easy. Such as "Ruby Tuesday Dr." named after one of the Rolling Stones songs. But in … (1 comments)
