There are many real estate agents who list property and attach an advertising budget to each listing. The funds that will pay for marketing are assigned and when those funds are depleted, then what? That’s a question that has never been answered clearly when I’ve asked. I’ve heard dollar amounts and percentages of the commission being dedicated to a listing, but when those funds are gone, there’s a problem!! We all know the importance of marketing. Every agent markets differently. Some agents are taking their money and throwing it out the window. Marketing is a numbers game. Some of us are working in a marketplace that is more active than other areas. What does one do if their marketplace has minimal activity? If your inventory is low or void, what will your next step be? I know that my inventory has had a reduction from last years'. I know I need to make a change to compensate for that reduction.
