Of course none of ever win anything big, but that's not why we go. It's the horses, of course! Watch them come in the paddock, read the stats, and in the end you just pick the prettiest one or the one with the coolest name!

Yesterday was the Oregon Championship Day at the largest race track in Oregon. All participating horses must have been born in Oregon. It was an exciting day to see Oregon's finest race horses competing on the track. Personally we only get to the track about twice a year, so it's always a thrill. The jockey's coming out of the locker room, finding their mounts and getting last minute instructions from the trainers. The crowds intensly studying the program to pick a winner. The horses nervously chewing their bit and jogging as they are lead to (7 comments)
