If you like riding your horse year round, you are going to need a covered arena if you live anywhere in the Western portion of Oregon. Why? Because it rains, and it rains a lot! "So what, I am tough, I don't mind a little rain!" You say. "That may be true, but consider the ground. Unless you have a VERY well designed outdoor arena with proper footing and drainage, you will likely end up trying to ride in an ice rink." I point out. "You mean it freezes a lot?" You ask.
