charles gantz: What's Your Passion?
- 05/22/11 05:09 AM
I am a firm believer in living what you love, loving what you do, and not settling for anything less than excellence. The trick, of course, is actually achieving those goals. Think about what you really, truly love. Typically, you do that activity well. It makes you feel exhilerated and fulfilled. But there may be that little voice in your head that says "Oh, I couldn't really do this for my life's work. It wouldn't pay me anything. It's not practical. I have a family to think of now. I couldn't walk away from everything and start over again." Have you (7 comments)
charles gantz: Have You Written Your Week's Goals Yet?
- 01/30/11 03:00 PM
It's Sunday evening...again. This past week, I passed the Indiana Broker's exam, ordered new signs, met with a Buyer's agent, bought some office supplies, helped with homework, did laundry, interviewed a roofer/handyman, went to the grocery store, revised the budget, and did a lot of cooking and cleaning. So why do I feel like I haven't done anything? I'm a list maker, as is my partner. We work best when we have a tick list of things to do, to investigate, to take care of. There is nothing more satisfying to us than to check an item off the list. Most (3 comments)
charles gantz: 10 Top Indiana Winter Motivational Activities
- 01/22/11 05:36 AM
This is becoming an annual blog topic for me. As the weather turns frigid (3 degrees) and as the landscape becomes a dirty white and the skies remain gray, it is hard to turn on the motivation. So to help me out of a not-very-tropical depression this time every year, I focus on what CAN be done, as opposed to what isn't happening right now. 10. charles gantz: Happy New Year!
- 01/15/11 06:52 PM
I was commenting just the other day how my father said that there was never a day that he dd not want to be at the clothing store he owned. At the time I was much younger but even then realized how lucky he was to be able to work at what he loved. I am reminded of this Bible quote: When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work -- this is a gift of God. - 07/13/10 04:51 AM
Central Indiana is not only an affordable place to buy a home, it is also just a great place to live and work. This past Saturday, my partner Charles Gantz, great friend Jerry Sargent, and I attended a packed concert at Mallow Run Winery with a stellar performance by the Carmel Symphony Orchestra. With events like these, the greater Greenwood area in Johnson County certainly stands as a primo place to live or to relocate. We love living in the Indianapolis metro area and believe that you will also. Call Atlas Property Group, LLC for all of your commercial or residential (0 comments)
charles gantz: Forbes.com List of Best Cities In Which To :Buy A Home: Indianapolis Is #2. Who's #1?
- 07/13/10 04:13 AM
Forbes.com has recently named the 10 most affordable cities in which to buy a home. Affordability was based in part upon the percentage of the population who could afford the median priced home in that area. Forbes.com went even further than that raw number, however. They also looked at the costs of home ownership in the form of percentage of monthly income going towards property taxes and insurance. And finally they projected whether the future home prices were expected to rise or fall. Of the cities with a population of 500,000 or more, Indianapolis ranked #2. 95% of the population (2 comments)
