southern pines: Super-Sized Community

The Pinehurst, Southern Pines area is a pretty small, close-knit community. Everybody really will know your name if you live here long enough. Small often translates to boring, to most people. I would really disagree though and I think the 82, 300 other Moore County-lites would too. Between the 43 golf courses, numerous restaurants, pubs, shops, parks, recreational facilities museums, and theaters; there is usually something you can find to do if you don't enjoy hiking, biking, tennis, bowling, canoeing, or horseback riding. I love the fall, the football, the cool air, and the leaves changing, but I also love summer. I might love summer more. So it's bitter-sweet for me when seasons change. Men should just be thankful that they don't have to wear heels! For those of you who haven't been on a Horse Farm, let me paint you a picture for your feet. Dirt, grass, hay, clay, dust, and let me put this gently, horse manure. Now let's add water, lots of rain water in the past few days in the Pinehurst area, which is normally so sunny and temperate (those of you who golf know what (7 comments)
southern pines: Successfully marketing horse properties.

Successfully listing and selling horse farm properties requires in depth knowledge of not only the real estate market, but also the various disciplines within the horse community. A farm suitable for an eventer may or may not be suitable of for a carriage driver or foxhunter. In this sense marketing horse farms is analogous to the difference between commercial real estate and residential. You have to be an expert to do it successfully. You have to know horses, horse farms, horse people, and real estate or you will spend a lot of time and quite possibly not end up with satisfied clients. So (9 comments)
