care: Some changes for the 2009 season - 04/21/09 11:56 AM
This year we are focusing more on the landscaping and additional services of the business and less on the actual lawn mowing aspect of the business. We will still be offering our aeration, dethatching, lawn rolling, spring/fall clean ups, gutter cleaning, overseeding/ reseeding, and power washing services to new residential customers along with our full line-up of landscaping services from complete overhauls and new installs, to freshening up the mulch or planting new trees/shrubs or flowers.
One of our bigger changes for the 2009 season is we will not be accepting any commercial jobs, as we are going to be residential only this year.

care: Are your gutters overflowing with all this rain? We have the solution, Gutter Cleaning! (Genesee Co.,MI) - 09/13/08 04:38 PM
Gutter cleaning is more then just about looks, it can also add years to the life of your roof by allowing the water to properly flow through the gutter system instead of clogging up where it can get under your shingles, rotting your roof much quicker than normal.

After

We also clear the roof of all debris with our gutter cleaning services, as this also helps your roof last longer while allowing rain water to properly flow off of the roof into your gutter system.

care: Great curb appeal is very important when selling a home! - 09/12/08 08:27 AM
The importance of a well cared for lawn and landscaping when selling a home is actually quite simple, it is the first thing about a home a perspective buyer will see. It can make or break even getting someone to step foot inside the home let alone make a respectable offer. Like the old saying goes "The First impression is the most Important impression". If the outside of the home is uncared for the interior of the home is percieved to be that same way regardless of what it actually looks like. Many home buyers will not even look at a home that … (2 comments)

care: Five ways to improve curb appeal - 08/30/08 04:37 AM
1. The lawn should be properly mowed, and fertilization should be considered in many cases. Curbs, sidewalks, and driveways (concrete only as black top driveways can crack and weaked from edging as they do not have the smooth edges for proper edging) should be edged using a steel-blade edger.
2. The landscaping should be fresh and appealing. The hedges should be properly trimmed, dead or dying flowers/ shrubs should be replaced. Also if the flower beds contain mulch it should generally either be replaced or touched up with new mulch to give it that fresh, well cared for look.
3. The gutters should be cleaned and … (26 comments)

care: When selling your home consider these 5 helpful curb appeal tips - 08/15/08 04:24 PM
These are my top 5 tips for improving a homes curb appeal, which is very important when selling your home (and of course great for the looks of your neighboorhood, and self for those not currently looking to sell):
1. The lawn should be properly mowed, and fertilization or overseeding (depending on the lawn and budget, but do not do both together as many fertilizers will kill new seed) should be considered in many cases. Curbs, sidewalks, and driveways (concrete only as black top driveways can crack and weaked from edging as they do not have the smooth edges for proper edging) should be edged … (0 comments)

care: Don't forget the water - 08/15/08 02:57 PM
Proper watering techniques guarantee the heath and beauty of your lawn and plants. It's important to water your plants deeply. The appearance of your plants reflects how much moisture they have. Yellow, drooping leaves indicate over-watering, while grayish leaves and wilting indicate under-watering. If you can leave a footprint on the grass, it is also an indication of under-watering.
Look at your lawn and plants carefully before watering them to gauge the right amount of water they need. It's best to water early in the morning before 10 a.m. because evaporation is less during these hours. Evaporation is also less during … (0 comments)

care: A few lawn care safty tips. Having a beautiful lawn doesn't have to be dangerous. - 08/02/08 12:24 PM
The other day I was on my way to one of my regular lawn maintenance clients home and I noticed something that got me thinking.... Many people don't know lawn care safty.
What I saw to me is a simple safety to myself, but maybe so simple it is easy to over look. There was a gentleman who was in the process of mowing his lawn with his bagger attachment hooked up to his riding mower. My guess would be that the bagger was clogging up and he was trying to figure out why (which again is simple to me because … (0 comments)
