Dear Alicia, I've read your book, and really enjoyed it! There were so many common sense ideas in the book that I ended up with a bruise on my forehead for all the times I slapped myself! Anyway, do I really have to stage my closets? I'm tired of staging my client's countertops with clutter (i.e. cookbook on a stand, candles, canister sets, etc...) and am looking to add value to my staging packages. What do you think? Dear Alicia, During the holiday season, I attended several social events. Some events were business related, and some were neighborhood or family gatherings. 'The season' started off in October, and I must confess that my 'Thank You' notes have not yet been written,sent or otherwise expressed. I always bring the host and hostess a little gift for them to enjoy after the party. Should I expect a thank you note from my hosts for my generosity? Houston Home Staging readily admits, that we're the last people in the world to have 'discovered' something! This attractive little site called Houzz, is our latest toy! We're loving our Pinterest thing, but Houzz will let us easily post photos from our own photo library. The quality of the photo is great, and apparently you can write a story to go along with your post!!!! Here's a little tip for those of us who wonder if our staging efforts will photograph properly! Take a hand held mirror to your staging. When you've reached your staging goal, look at your project in the looking glass! The frame of the mirror acts as the frame of the soon-to-be-taken photo! There's always a little 'this' or 'that' hanging out, and this mirror-trick is a great way of checking your work, without asking for someone else's (possibly not objective) opinion <G>!
