boating on long island sound: BOATING WITH GRANDSON FROM STAMFORD - 08/23/22 06:12 PM
It has been a beautiful boating Summer.  We had some great times on the Intracoastal in Florida.  Now we are back in New York an boating on Long Island Sound out of Stamford Connecticut.
We left last Saturday morning from Stamford with everyone except our younger daughter who was with baby Teddy.
 
 
Crossing the Sound from Stamford to Northport Town Docks is a little more than 15 miles.  Max is having a wonderful time.
We have a few more boating plans in New York and Connecticut before summer is over.

boating on long island sound: ENJOYING THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER - 08/27/19 08:40 PM
After Phyllis and I returned from Florida we decided to use our Freedom Boat Club reciprical membership and go boating on Long Island Sound.  We embarked from Stamford Connecticut Harbor.
We set out for the north shore of Long Island.  It was a choppy windy day but the boat handled very well and we came to the north shore of Long Island at Northport.  This is such a beautiful area.  I used to work near here when I lived on Long Island.  Here are some shots from my iPhone.
