business coaching armonk ny: WHEN YOU KNOW WHY THE WAY WILL PRESENT ITSELF
- 11/10/19 07:26 PM
Stop worrying about how to do something and stop telling your staff how to do something. Instead, find your why and make sure their why is aligned with yours. Then the way (how) will present itself. Goal planning is not about writing down a list of tasks. Instead, it starts with a why which some people call a dream. Someone said, ”you gotta have a dream if you want a dream to come true. That’s the why. Frankly, if you do not have the WHY the HOW will not matter. Motivation and goal achievement are interrelated. You can’t motivate yourself or motivate others. (41 comments)
business coaching armonk ny: BE THE BEST LEADER YOU CAN BE
- 07/09/17 08:44 PM
All results, good or bad, are the result of the leaders. Think about organizations in the news, both good and bad, and the leader of the organization is heralded or blamed. Yes, the leader sets the tone, the direction, and also models behavior. Positive results are the result of positive leaders. Show me an organization that functions very well and I can show you a positive engaged leader. I recently asked a group of employees in Westchester County NY what was wrong with their company. They replied, “We need positive leadership. We need leadership with people skills.” What does your real (28 comments)

- 08/14/16 10:52 AM
Would you like to know how to spell success? Similar to the Rolaids commercial of years ago which asked, "How do you spell relief?" there is also an answer to How do you spell success? You find success by doing and measuring things that will lead to results. To quote the investment commercials, "Past performance is no guarantee of future results." Just because you were successful in the past does not mean you will be successful in the future. You need to measure leading indicators. - 07/12/15 01:30 PM
Doing the right thing or doing the right things is the hallmark of leadership. Dave Thomas, founder of Wendys, had a number of statements that he instilled in all of his managers. One of them was, "Do the right thing". But other things have to happen in a successful business. Things must be done right. Both of these behaviors are required to lead a team or manage a business. In Doing Things Right you establish detailed steps and timetables for achieving needed results, establish structure, monitor results, and execute specific plans. business coaching armonk ny: ARE YOU AFRAID TO TELL THE TRUTH?
- 02/22/15 12:20 PM
Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert inspired me with her post Can You Handle the Truth. No one wants to intentionally tell a lie. On the other hand everyone wants to be liked and this fact can prevent people from saying what needs to be said. I am not saying that you should offer a truthful remark that might be hurtful but when dealing with clients it never pays to conceal less than positive news. I am reminded of "You can't handle the truth!" When we service our clients we sometimes think that they can't handle the truth (34 comments)
