A recent report by CoreLogic revealed that U.S. home values appreciated by more than 37% over the last five years. Some are concerned that this is evidence we may be on the verge of another housing “boom & bust” like the one we experienced from 2006-2008. Every winter, families all over Connecticut decide if this will be the year that they sell their current houses and move into their dream homes. Mortgage rates in CT hovered around 4% for all of 2017 which forced many buyers off the fence and into the market, resulting in incredibly strong demand RIGHT NOW! At the same time, however, inventory levels of CT homes for sale have dropped dramatically as compared to this time last year.
