I saw this question on another web site. I could only think of one example I have seen happen over and over again. The craziest thing I have seen a seller do to sell their home is to sign a contract with an agent, who promised them they could sell the house for more money and quicker than anyone else. Then have the property sit on the market for months, watching the value decline, while paying the mortgage and taxes, only to sell for less than the price I originally suggested.
