The dollar value of homes that sold and closed in Clarksburg was up 130.09% for the month of February, 2012 compared to February of last year. A total of 4.9 million worth of homes sold, versus $2.1 million during February 2011. Additionally, the number of units sold in Clarksburg was up 85.71 for this same timeframe. A total of $5,050,371 worth of homes sold during August 2011, compared to $8,978,525 in August of 2011 – a drop of 43.75 percent.
The median sold price during August was $358,600 (a 14.62 drop from the previous August), and the number of homes sold and closed decreased by 30.00 percent.
But interestingly, the number of new pending contracts during the month of August was 21.43 percent higher than last year. I’m hopeful this is a harbinger of better things to come.

Here's the latest news on house and condo sales in zip code 20871. A total of $6.4 million worth of homes sold in Clarksburg last month, which is an increase of 33.18% compared to February of 2009. The median price of homes that sold was 15.76% lower than last year, but the number of homes sold doubled... and the average days on the market dropped by 68.24 percent. This is a continuation of the trend we've been seeing lately: more homes selling more quickly than last year, but at a lower price.
