Here's an interesting development in the foreclosure world.....Darian - www.investor-helpers.com Fannie Mae is finalizing a national policy that will allow tenants to remain in their homes even if their landlord goes into foreclosure -- a landmark decision for tenants. The policy will be in effect Jan. 9, Fannie Mae said Sunday, and reflects growing pressure on the mortgage company from a legal-aid group that threatened to sue over recent evictions. The company said it will also ensure its current holiday moratorium on new evictions is being followed until the new policy takes effect. This is good to see, especially during the Holiday Season.Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac recently announced that they are suspending foreclosures from Nov. 26 through Jan. 9 in order to work on its loan modification plan. How about a "Bail Out" (or Bridge Loan) for all of the Investors who bought property from 2002-2005 & are now upside down Big Time.... Did you know that most business lines of credit for the newer Investor are still personally guaranteed? There's a misconception that because business lines of credit (and business credit cards) don't report on your personal credit file, that you can default & not be responsible for repaying. Nothing can be further from the truth. Though keeping the business credit off of your personal credit file is one of the great benefits of getting it lined up, if you fail to pay them, the lender will be able to go after you because of the personal guarantee.
