PCMR has been bl,owing snow almost around the clock now since the tenth of November, the earliest I can ever remember they have been able to go to something close to 24 hr. snowmaking and there is no indication of any warm up in temps until March at this point.
That bodes well for the very important Christmas Holiday season and even for Thanksgiving as well.
Not much natural snow yet, but if mother nature cooperated with low temperatures, it will set the tone for a great ski season here in park City.

Later on I saw a herd of over 100 Elk just 30 or 40 feet off the road. I counted over 65 in this picture and there were quite a few more on either side of this shot and in the distance beyond.

I took a ride up to Canyons Resort today and enjoyed a cup of coffee over near their soon to be ski beach. There were some hikers enjoying the beautiful fall weather and it hardly seems to be just a month or so from opening day.
Anyone who lives here though knows just how quickly the weather can change and Canyons has their big snow guns out, primed and ready to go any day now. I was at Deer Valley Resort the other day and they had their's out and ready to go as well.

PCMR received 10 inches of fresh snow in the last 24 hours and with temperatures in the high 30's today, mid winter conditions are in order for the next few days and a prettier bluebird day will be difficult to find.
