I am fond of old houses. They have character. If the walls could talk, what wonderful stories they would tell. I prefer to look at old houses with good foundation and basic structure, both as a piece of history and a work of art. They reflect the history of the street, the subdivision, the town. They reflect the craftmanship available at the time and the materials that the workmen had at that time. It is much like a picture capturing a period of time. The new houses signify new beginnings and for that, they are special. The new occupants can fill the walls with their stories.
