A BOCA RATON DRAWBRIDGE OPENS FOR A MEGA YACHT In Boca Raton,Fl. we have several drawbridges that connect the "Barrier Island " of Boca Raton with the "mainland" of Boca Raton. A BOCA RATON DRAWBRIDGE OPENS FOR A MEGA YACHT It is quite a unique sight as massive sections of the road are lifted into the air by manned bridge tenders. This allows mega yachts, barges and day cruise ships to pass by on their way to Lake Boca Raton or to the Boca Raton Inlet to the Atlantic Ocean.

During WW II a radar station was set up in Boca Raton for the purpose of training our military in this top secret mission.
