Dear Active Rain Family, How many times have you dreamed a special prize or award? Have you ever gotten discouraged and wonder if you will ever win the prize? Do you sometimes lose sight of your goal? I want to share a story with you on the importance of not giving up on your dreams and goals. As a Certified Interior Redesigner and Home Stager through IRIS (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists) we had our recent National Conference in San Diego, CA. My Marketing Coach told me something recently that I am finding to be true: "Marketing is Gardening, not Hunting!" I keep thinking about that comment and found the truth in gardening. You dig, till the soil, clear out the rocks, plant, water, weed and fertilize your garden. Have you ever discovered that you may spend a lot of time in doing a marketing project and really put your heart into it and you dont' see the results right away? Recently, I ended up having a four hour lunch & meeting with one of the Sales Associates at the most premiere and very affluent Meadow Lake Village, a Resort Retirement Community, here in Boise. It is usually for the very affluent. It is the only one of it's kind in Idaho. There are various levels for Seniors from Cottage homes, Independent Living to an Assisted Living new wing that opened up recently. Long story short, this has been in process for about 8 months. The Sales Associate that I originally met became the Supervisor and is much more creative and open (3 comments)
