I tell you I must have one of the smartest wives on the planet. I spelled this word for her and she nailed it. Cuadrilla is the new word of the day.
I can use this word and associate it with real estate although the original meaning has nothing to do with real estate. The word originated in Spain and is pronounced (kwa drel’ya) which means a matador’s team of assistants. It also means any group of associates or attendants. Don’t we use them every day when headed to the closing table, taking a listing etc.? Alright put on your thinking caps and I’ll start off by telling you this has something to do with real estate (hint). It is not currently used but it origin was in France. In fact it was used in the U.S. in Louisiana (another hint). Okay this word has three count em three different listings in my Webster’s®. They are all spelled the same and pronounced the same. I find it most interesting depending on what one is talking about the same word has different meanings. The one I’m going to concentrate on has something to do with money (hint). Well another word, Word® 2007 does not recognize how sweet is this? I’m on a roll. Each one of us does this daily (well most of us do).
