springdale arkansas realtor: I had no idea they have a word for this.
- 01/16/12 11:15 PM
I had no idea they have a word for this. Yep I called it something totally different but comes to find out there is a word for this. I wonder how many of you knew this word and what it meant. The word is “cocotte” and it makes me wonder who in the world thought of this one. Anyway the meaning of (ko kat’) is a small casserole for a single portion of food. Who would have thunk it?

springdale arkansas realtor: A modest man
- 10/12/11 11:40 PM
This is my friend David Aguirre. Even though he’s from Texas A & M I still like the man. Sometimes he comes up to my area to play a few rounds of golf. This past Sunday we were playing one of the courses and on the 18th hole I hit a monster of a T shot for me. We got into the cart and headed over to my grandsons ball. When we arrived I noticed a group of people in the area where we were to hit the second shot. After a few minutes with no one moving

springdale arkansas realtor: An interesting sighting…
- 10/11/11 11:52 PM
An interesting sighting… The other day I was driving near Rogers, AR. in beautiful NW Arkansas. I was behind a vehicle with a pink ribbon on the license plate and a bumper sticker that said “Save the ta-tas.” Anyway as I was travelling following this vehicle I saw a females hand come out of the driver’s side window with a cigarette in it. As we went on the smoke and cigarette showed up several times. I wondered if it was just a fad the license plate or did she really think she was making a statement. Sorry I couldn’t

springdale arkansas realtor: Origin of Left & Right
- 10/10/11 11:39 PM
I looked it up and it’s there, you can interrupt it as you like. I make no other comment just found it interesting I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the "right" and Liberals are called the "left." By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen. Can't get any simpler than that.

springdale arkansas realtor: What is your focus?
- 10/08/11 12:59 AM
What is your focus? When looking at Webster’s© there are several meanings to this one word. The one I’m going to use today is: to fix or settle on one thing; concentrate. We as agents can’t focus on any one thing as real estate takes in so many facets but we should have knowledge of the local market, the contracts and what they are saying and their meaning. I know enough to get me in trouble but I learn something new every day what say you?

springdale arkansas realtor: A Homeless Man's Funeral
- 10/04/11 12:38 AM
Had to change things around a little but you’ll get the full version with a twist…Enjoy As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Kentucky back country. As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had

springdale arkansas realtor: Daylight Saving Time
- 09/30/11 11:46 PM
When told the reason for daylight saving time the Old Indian said, “Only the Government would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket.” The phone rings this morning and deep into a sleepy fog I hear it but roll over, cover my head and ignore it. A minute later it rings again. Same thing, roll over, climb deeper into the warm covers and ignore it. On the third ring I decide it must be important so I reluctantly climb out of my sleepy cocoon

springdale arkansas realtor: Did you ever see GOD grandpa?
- 09/26/11 10:52 PM
Did you ever see GOD grandpa? Grandson was fishing with grandpa and asked him, “Grandpa have you ever seen GOD?” The grandfather looked at the sunset, the calm waters and the fish in their bucket. After some consideration he said: “Son all I see lately is GOD and his wonders.” How often do we not see the obvious when trying to get to the end of the task at hand? Take some time before you answer just as grandpa did. Now what say you?

springdale arkansas realtor: Interstate 40
- 09/25/11 12:11 AM
As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his cell phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, 'James, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on Interstate 40. Please be careful!' 'James,' James said, ‘it’s not just one car... It's hundreds of them!' What say you?

springdale arkansas realtor: Gladly Living As A Difference Maker
- 09/20/11 11:18 PM
Gladly Living As A Difference Maker With the Sunday service the lead pastor usually starts out with “You notice our outline is Gladly Living As A Difference Maker would you say that with me please?” That got me to thinking about our profession and how that phrase relates to us. Are we not gladly living as a difference maker to the clients we serve? If it’s the sellers or buyers or both we as agents make a difference to them if it’s selling the home or helping the buyers buy their home. I for one am gladly living as a

springdale arkansas realtor: Wedding Party
- 09/19/11 11:25 PM
At a wedding party recently someone shouted, “All the married men please stand next to the one person who made you life worth living.” The cocktail waitress was nearly crushed to death, followed by the bartender. I just couldn’t resist this one. Enjoy the day or what’s left of it.

springdale arkansas realtor: Ever "malleable" someone?
- 09/18/11 11:15 PM
Ever “malleable” someone? Sure you have and you continue to do this each and every day. I bet ya do this and not think about the meaning of this word. So at the end of this post I look forward to your comments and how you do this. So for the meaning of (mal’ e bel) capable of being changed, molded, trained, etc. Do you not mold your children or other in which you have an interaction? For those of you who were teachers, brokers etc. you teach train your agents and your agents teach their clients about buying or

springdale arkansas realtor: Ever see someone with a “lapidify” face?
- 09/18/11 12:33 AM
Sure you have I’ve seen my number and had one myself. Everyone has one the question is when do you use it? I did use it almost every day in my former profession it was a requirement of the job. Now not so much as I don’t see the need. I see this in some of my clients faces but usually not. Now with that out of the way the meaning of (le pid’ e fi’) to turn into stone hence the term stone or stoned face.

springdale arkansas realtor: HEMP
- 09/17/11 12:57 AM
By now most everyone knows that word and what it means. If you are in possession of this plant you know you’re in trouble but do you realize at one time this was perfectly legal? At one time hemp was used to make and in some cases still is used to make ropes. If you take an old rope and cut a small piece of it up and burn it you will know what marijuana smells like. It has a distinctive smell that one won’t forget soon. Now for the meaning of (hemp) a tall Asiatic herb grown for the

springdale arkansas realtor: Grace-less
- 09/15/11 11:54 PM
Well I bet your wondering why I chose such a interesting word and where am I about to take you with this ride. I usually take this time and write about some things and save the meaning towards the last but not today. The meaning of (gras’lis) is lacking any sense of what is right or proper. Now how can one better describe the Congress and President? I can throw in the Supreme Court also. They took an oath to uphold the Constitution but they make a mockery of it. I often wonder if we keep heading in that direction

springdale arkansas realtor: “Cacophony” has been used on me more than I can count
- 09/13/11 11:42 PM
When I was a cop I had people do this to me and if I had a dollar for every time I would be relaxing on a beach in an undisclosed location with an adult beverage. Anyway, having said that I have not had this happen to me since I became an agent. I wonder has it happened to you and if so will you share this? Now for the meaning of (ke kaf’ e ne) is harsh-sounding, bad or evil. So tell me the story I’ve got all day

springdale arkansas realtor: Are we operating under a “pandect”?
- 09/12/11 12:26 AM
Are we operating under a “pandect”? No I don’t think we are because this is changing every year. The attorneys need to have something to do and they are good at it. The problem I have is the agents who make these possible and required. Now for the meaning of (pan’dekt) a complete body of laws; legal code. The laws keep changing because of agents doing something they know they shouldn’t do and therefore making it possible for the law to change or a new one to be enacted. What say you?

springdale arkansas realtor: Observation
- 09/05/11 01:42 AM
Observation??? OK here is the story line and I’m sure you’ll figure out the rest of the story before I get there. Several months ago as I was driving the family truck a Tyson tractor-trailer rig rounded a corner and needless to say a rock flew up and cracked the windshield. It just wasn’t a minor hit it was a major one. The wife complained about it for months and Monday I took the vehicle and had the windshield replaced. I met her at her mother’s place and exchanged vehicles. I drove the car home and waited in
