Ask 5 people what they consider a luxury home to be and you'll most likely get 5 answers. Price tag alone does not by definition make a home luxurious. Take for example a home that's located right on the outskirts of downtown. The home may be a shanty, but because it is so close to downtown, the land value may be very high. Or a 1,200 square foot home overlooking the most scenic cliff in Maui. Is it a luxury home because it is listed at $1,500,000 even though it hasn't been updated for 30 years? The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce defines the "Clear Lake Area" as that area comprising Clear Lake City, Clear Lake Shores, El Lago, Kemah, League City, Nassau Bay, Seabrook, Taylor Lake Village, Webster and parts of Houston and Pasadena.
