georgia: Happy Holidays from Help-U-Sell North Metro, Alpharetta GA - 12/24/06 12:37 PM
It's Christmas Eve...soon to be the year 2007. My first year in Real Estate has been interesting to say the least. My "career" in Real Estate could have been just as I had just wrote it: a "career" in quotation marks because my first attempt at working for a name brand broker soon after I was licensed was unsuccessful. I was with the firm for 6 months and accomplished zilch. I retreated back to my advertising sales experience and worked for a small company selling ads in a local yellow page directory. It was a paycheck, 100% more money than I … (3 comments)

georgia: Guess the Active Rain Member Profile...Win This Fabulous Prize! - 12/12/06 02:29 PM
Eureka!
Fellow members, a great new vision has been bestowed upon me. This idea is so fresh, so original that I could barely contain myself while booting up the laptop on this rainy Georgia evening. So copycats beware...scram! I'm claiming this idea myself, here, first, right now! I was gonna wait until tomorrow to post this but more and more stuff started poppin into my head.
A thought occured....oooh that's good, don't forget that...then another....wait, slow down brain or I'm gonna forget! I hope this idea is as good as it is tomorrow as it sounds to me right now. Otherwise, I'll … (26 comments)

georgia: It's a simple question(s)....right? - 12/12/06 06:01 AM
Where does search start and end?
In multiple inquiries, is a consumer more likely to go to Realtor.com (who states that 75% +/- of all consumers start searching online before they buy property) or to a search engine?
When we say consumers are more tech savvy, does this mean they search keywords AND/OR blogs?
I would love to know the percentages of those who, after they started thier first search, go about it the same way a second or third time...or if when they go back online a second or third time, they go straight to a branded source. (Like Realtor.com or Trulia.com)
Do you … (2 comments)

SEOchat.com has some of the most valuable tools any webmaster can utilize to make these distinctions.   Here is a keyword difficulty tool that shows, by percentages, the amount of difficulty a keyword or keyphrase that you are promoting may be.

georgia: FSBO Facts...And Some Great Resources from REALTOR®.org - 12/05/06 04:28 AM
I spend a lot of time surfing the web, and when I come across items that I think may be useful to other members to AR...the first thing I think of is creating a post and sharing it with the network. Today was no different, and I stumbled across some great tools on the Realtor.org and Realtor Magazine Online sites that some of you may or may not know about.
More specifically, while thinking about what new, fresh content to add to GA-agent.com the thought came back to me...I remember reading Jim Lee's Post about his approach to helping Mr. & Mrs. FSBO.
