marketing: Are all agents created equal?

The most recent survery of Yahoo revels that Home buyers and sellers consider approximately two agents on average before making a final decision. With so much competition in the market, one of the largest mistakes I see agents making is creating marketing just like everyone else. If I had a nickel for every time I have read the words "honesty" or "integrity" in a real estate marketing piece..... well, you get the idea =). Let's face it, not all agents were created equal. 1. Practice, Practice, Practice; One of the great things about summer is children and sporting events. Even if you are not lucky enough to be one of the parents sitting on the sideline in the sweltering heat of the day cheering your little one on, this is a great opportunity to get out and mingle with other parents. Many parents sitting on those sidelines not only forgot to bring a water bottle for themselves; many will forget to bring one for their child. I thought I would make my first blog a little fun and let you all take one of my tests. I have spent several years coaching agents in marketing and over time I have generated several self tests that have been very helpful to agents across the county.
