Temecula gets a dose of celebrity status. Tonight is the night that Gary Sinise holds a fund raiser for a Marine, Lance Corporal Juan Dominguez, who lost both his legs and on of his arms while serving in Afghanistan. Gary Sinise and the Lutenent Dan Band are hoping to raise enough funds to build a special home for Lance Corporal Juan Doninguez that will be custom designed to meed the Corporal's needs. And according to the ticket list that I viewed earlier today, they will do really well!

"Drama King", newspaper headlines....they are everywhere and begin something like this: House prices down in December!
This is the headline word for word, that is in today's Californian newspaper, that I get delivered to my house because some scraggly, but nice high school kid needed to sell some subscriptions. I get the Riverside County, California edition and this report was actually about San Diego County.
It was a Case Shiller report

From the minute you step into Loma Linda Hospital in Murrieta, Caliornia, you feel like you are in a special place....(More on Loma Linda and more pictures in my next seires of posts), just look at this plate that I served up by myself while I was waiting for my husband to get out of surgery!

Harveston is a newer community in Temecula with a lake in the middle of it.
Harveston also has it's own elementary school. Harveston is mostly made up of single family homes, but there is also an apartment complex in Harveston.
The biggest draw for home buyers to move to Harveston is the lake. Hello, is this Mrs. Rainmaker? I actually had a lady call me on Friday evening and ask me if I was Mrs. Rainmaker! (I was driving back from Orange County, with my husband and took the call at around 8:00 p.m). I said with a chuckle, "Yes it is"! After talking a bit she finally said, "What is your first name again?"
I said, "If you look right under the "RainMaker", label you'll see it, it's "Jane". This lady went on to say that she told her husband that Rainmaker was such an unusual name, and that I must be Indian!!! … (87 comments)

It's absolutely normal to want to purchase a home at the lowest possible price.
The challenge is. that it can be very hard to predict what real estate markets will do and where the bottom actually is, ~ as we only know where the bottom was when it is on the way back up!

Buyers who get overly concerned with price per square foot can become very confused.
Using only price per square foot for comparing properties gives buyers an unrealistic look at the real estate market in general. It's much better to use recent sold comparable homes, compared to the one you are thinking of buying, that are in similar condition, the same area and have the same number of bedrooms!
