relocating to scottsdale: Back in the Saddle Again! - 07/23/15 03:55 PM
Back in the Saddle Again!

It's been a crazy week and I'm glad to be Back in the Saddle Again!  I've written a couple of posts about what I've been working on, leasing out my current home and buying another one.  This stuff makes for drama that could give anyone high blood pressure!  For now, let's just say I'm glad to be Back in the Saddle Again after the most drama filled lending experience in my 30 years of owning homes!

I'm prepared to write posts on the following:

relocating to scottsdale: Desert Storage in Scottsdale - 03/03/15 11:29 AM
Desert Storage in Scottsdale
Moving can be a daunting process, let alone storing items in between moves.  As a professional in this business I can tell you that there are definitely times when the service of a professional storage facility is appreciated. Which is why you should call Desert Storage in Scottsdale.
Desert Storage in Scottsdale is located in Mid Scottsdale, southeast of Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard.  This past weekend, I had the good fortune of interacting with the Store Manager when my client needed to move out of state.  Not only was he friendly, telling us where to park, how … (2 comments)

relocating to scottsdale: Who Am I Really Buying This House For? - 10/17/14 02:54 AM
Who Am I Really Buying This House For?
As agents we try to manage the process of a home purchase that may also include a real estate sale.  Oftentimes, there are life transitions included in buying and selling real estate. Whether it’s an older generation being included; a younger generation being excluded; or a third generation coming to visit; real estate sales hinge on these factors.  Who Am I Really Buying This House For?
If you're in your "baby boomer" years, your children may be grown or going to college.  A typical thought is, "Will I need an extra bedroom in … (6 comments)

relocating to scottsdale: The Whole Fam Damily! - 11/17/12 10:45 AM
The Whole Fam Damily!             Typically when relocation clients meet with me, I'm meeting the immediate family that will be purchasing the home.  Today proved quite different.  Maybe it’s the excitement of a family Relocating to Scottsdale, closer to relatives.  Or maybe it’s the excitement to see what is currently for sale.  Either way, the family of four that I expected to meet turned into a family of 7.  When I walked into my office to meet the family of 4 Relocating to Scottsdale, there stood an Aunt and Uncle, making the group number at six.  We viewed two homes and I was then told we … (4 comments)

relocating to scottsdale: Back in the Rain After visiting Everett, Washington! - 02/11/12 02:40 AM
Back in the Rain  After visiting Everett, Washington!
Wow - time flies quickly when you don't stay up to speed with your connections on ActiveRain.  I've been out of town and out of touch, but am back at work after visiting the town of Everett, Washington.
What a great town.  I should have connected with some AR folks to really make it special, but didn't have enough time.  That may be the next thing I do when I re-visit the area.
You can imagine what it's like to travel from the desert and cactus to such a different … (10 comments)

relocating to scottsdale: Interviewing a Potential Home Buyer - 01/28/12 06:50 AM
Interviewing a Potential Home Buyer -
The first question that is usually asked of someone interested in buying a home is, "How many bedrooms do you need."  While this is an important question, it doesn't speak to what is most important to someone wishing to purchase a home in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Over the years and few relocations later,  I've learned that relocating to another state can be stressful, exhilarating, frustrating and confusing all at the same time.
Having experienced relocation first hand, it's easy to understand how this affects families. Timing of events is even more important when home buyers … (4 comments)

relocating to scottsdale: Is It Time to Become a Real Estate Mogul? - 11/30/11 11:16 AM
Just read this blog written by Michael S Bolton, Appraiser.  I couldn't agree more.  Plus, the flip side to this is that there are scores of investors becoming landlords who have no idea how to manage properties that they've purchased.  It's best to research the investment side as well as the landlord side of investment properties BEFORE buying.  Please write all post comments on Michael's blog.
With falling real estate prices, and more importantly the increasing number of renters, one would think this would be the opportunity of a lifetime to become a real estate investor, and for some it is. … (0 comments)
