There is no doubt about it. Small children come with large, plentiful toys and equipment. So what do you do when you are selling your home?
Their equipment is still necessary.
 They still want to play with their toys.
Small children really can't grasp the concept of 'moving'.
The buyers need to see the house and keep their focus on the features of the home.

You'll notice in the after photo that the big boy TV has also been removed. This helps to enlarge the space, shows off the builder's TV nook and lets in more natural light.

It's not easy keeping your house in 'show' condition.
You've had a Staging Consult and found out how to prepare your home for sale. You may have done the work yourself or you may have had the Stager do the work for you. Now you have to keep it that way. You want buyers that visit your home to be wowed by it's features.
The trouble is you have to live in the house. You may have a dog or cat as well as children to cope with. They need their space to play, eat, sleep etc.
