Many Buyers cannot see past what is there. If you present a room in less than 'show' condition, your buyer may have trouble seeing past your lifestyle and possessions to how they would use the space. If you have a Great Room that is supposed to provide space for living and dining make sure that you show both functions. If you show only the sitting area, buyers will wonder if you can really fit a dining set into the space as well. Your home will have lost a feature and offer less than other comparables.
