lane county: Homeownership benefits and you! By Jan Sohlman RE/MAX Integrity - 01/19/16 03:19 AM
Greetings,
What is it a great idea to own a home? A survey done by the National Association of REALTORS has shown that homeowners benefit socially from it.  Below is a list of the benefits:
*Less Crime
*Increase in charity activities
* Increased numbers in civic participation
* Children had higher test scores and graduation rates from people who owned their home
*Higher social capital
I think it is also good to point out when you make a house payment you are investing in your home. Otherwise you are giving the money to someone else. I feel that homeowners have higher self esteem and pride in their homes. … (0 comments)

lane county: Why should you move up this spring???? By Jan Sohlman - 05/18/15 03:34 AM
Greetings,
Summer is right around the corner, so it is a great time to move up this Spring. If you are debating moving up to your dream home, here are four great reasons to consider buying today instead of waiting.

1.) Buyer Demand is High & Inventory Is Low

Recent numbers show that buyer demand is at the highest peak experienced in years, and inventory for sale is at a 4.6 months supply, which is still markedly lower than the 6.0 months needed for a historically normal market.

The National Association of Realtors, Chief Economist, Lawrence Yun put it this way, "Demand in many markets is far … (2 comments)

Get 2 transactions pending & get another new listing.
The day is not over and I have one new … (6 comments)

lane county: Time to dust off the ole BBQ.... By Jan Sohlman - 05/06/15 02:42 AM

Now that the weather is starting to warm up, you can get ready to put some grill marks on those burgers and dogs! Not only does BBQ-ing taste and smell wonderful, there are also a number of benefits that might encourage you to get the grill out sooner:

Chickens Vs. Yard

Many people in Eugene/Springfield and surrounding areas are becoming back yard farmers. They are wondering what it will do to their yards. Some keep them penned up. Others let them roam during the day and lock them up at night. Here are some helpful tips about what kinds of plants they like, how to distract chickens from your plantings & trial and error with chickens. I hope this is a helpful article.

Remember if you are considering getting chickens, and you live in town. Call your realtor and check with your CC&R’s before you … (1 comments)
