The Mid Columbia Rotaract club is a service club for young prfessionals.  An induction ceremony was held tuesday september 23, 2008 at the Rotaract House.  The District Governor and Assistant District Governor as well as the President of Richland Rotary were on hand to induct the club for the upcoming year.  There has been much to be excited about and thankful for this last year.  Rotaract has been able to earn upwards of $4000 towards their goal of bringing clean water to a foreign village.  They have also seen growth of the club and the ability to help others reach their … (0 comments)

Everyone has heard of Rotary.  They do great things in their communities as well as on an international level.  Since becoming a member of Richland Rotary I have enjoyed many things especially knowing that I am doing more good as a group than I could ever think about doing on my own.
Rotaract is Rotary for the 18-30 age group.  Our local Rotaract group is doing amazingly well.  They have a strong will to grow their group, volunteer in the community, and especially have fun!  I have been contributing to Rotaract since I joined Rotary.  I am on the youth education … (1 comments)

midcolumbia: Mid Columbia Weather - 07/31/08 10:28 AM
I can't help but think how lucky we are with our weather here.  I have been all over.  My family is from Minnesota with snow, humidity, and mosquitos.  I was stationed in Southern California, well that was beautiful, but they do have earthquakes and mudslides and fires.  I have been to Japan, Australia, Egypt, Ireland, a myriad of climates, and I am extremely thankful that we are mild in every season.  Our winters are not that cold, nor do we get much snow.  Our summers are warm and dry, and it's unusual to pass 100 degrees.  The humidity is missing, and … (0 comments)
