Several of my ActiveRain friends contacted me this week about meeting during the Keller-Williams Mega Camp event. Today, I had a chance to meet with Marie Westerman, and tomorrow I am meeting Ryan Shaughnessy for lunch. If you are in town over the next few days, I would love to meet you! friends: Meeting Some ActiveRain Friends in Person for the First Time! - My Day at RE Barcamp (Houston)

As soon as I heard that RE Barcamp was coming to Houston, I was looking forward to attending. In case you haven't heard of Barcamp before (which I hadn't), it is essentially a real estate and social media conference. Actually, I heard it referred to as an "unconference", which is probably a better description. In essence, the agenda for the day is not set until everyone arrives. If you are attending and you want to lead a session, you can do this. What did I learn? First, I learned that Paul Chaney ("The Social Media Handyman") is clearly someone that I need to (96 comments)
I recently watched a movie on cable with my wife called "The Lake House" with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. I didn't honestly expect to like it very much, although I love Sandra Bullock in most of her movies (she is an Austinite, so I guess I have to say that, but it's true in her case). I loved Keanu Reeves in the "Bill and Ted" movies, "Parenthood", and "The Matrix", but frankly his stuff has been a bit more inconsistent (76 comments)
