blog comment world record attempt: 428 AR Comments in 24 Hours: What I Learned

On Thursday Dec 15, I set out to break the 24 hour Active Rain comment record. From midnight on 12/14 to midnight on 12/15, I made 428 comments on Active Rain. The first question most people have is simple. "Why"? The simple answer is that there is something wrong with me. The whole answer is just slightly more complicated. I've been a member of Active Rain since June 2006. Back then, there were no blogs, no forums, not much of anything. About all you could do on AR was build a profile, and invite other people to the network. And invite we did. (20 comments)

I can safely say I'm crushing the record for most comments entered on Active Rain in one day. Why can I say that? Because I don't think anyone else out there is dumb enough to read and comment on posts for 13 straight hours like I've been doing since midnight! (or at least no one else is dumb enough to admit it!) As I posted here, I'm on a AR comment marathon. Been going since midnight, plan to go to midnight tonight (save a short break for a kids track meet and to drop off a disclosure...) Maureen McCabe was nice enough to (37 comments)
Back on September 26, Greg Swann and Ardell Dellaloggia stunned the Blogosphere by EACH writing 102 blog posts in a day. It was an amazing feat. Perhaps the proverbial record that will never be broken.Bloggers tend to do weird things. Tino Buntic wrote a blog post that has 2,215 links in it. (71 comments)
