1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The younger you are when breast cancer strikes - the greater the chances that the cancer will be aggressive. You do not have to have a relative with breast cancer to be striken with it. Untreated breast cancer which spreads beyond the breast reduces the chance of survival to under 5 years.
Over the past two decades we have made tremendous strides and gains in woman's health care issues. Early detection has saved thousands of women afflicted with breast or cervical cancer.
