resolution: 2012: Resolve to NOT Make a Resolution Because... - 01/02/12 03:43 AM
Well, hello there Mr. New Year! We have been waiting for you for some time now, ready to usher us into a bright new future!
But here's the thing: I'm pretty tired of RESOLVING to do stuff for you. Resolving just isn't cutting it for me anymore. Doesn't that just sound too WIMPY to you? I RESOLVE to take the trash out (when I'm done watching the game and if I happen to remember to do it) but where is the COMMITMENT in that??
How about this Mr. New Year: I'm making a couple of "DO-OR-DIE, LIFE-DEPENDS-ON-IT, NON-NEGOTIABLE PROMISES" for 2012.

resolution: 11/11/11 The Race is OVER Today.... - 11/11/11 01:53 AM
I can't believe I wrote a blog back on 1/11/11 setting up the goals for the "race of one" nearly 10 months ago. (Check it out HERE before you read on, and this will make so much more sense!)
I challenged myself (and hopefully YOUR one-self) to run a 10-month race competing with all of the other "yous" that are constantly competing to win. So how did "the race" turn out? Let me take a candid look back and see what place I will take on the podium:

resolution: You are not a blogger. - 06/08/11 09:06 AM
Sell real estate and stop wasting time.
Leave writing to people who have something to say.
People don't care what you are thinking and surely won't take time from their busy day to read your simple thoughts.

That was me about 6 months ago.
Not a blogger. Not a writer.

But things change.

Early on the morning of November 26, 2010 I was laying in bed with an idea bouncing around my head. I wanted to get it OUT and my first thought was to blog about it. I'd never done this before, but thought it would … (45 comments)

resolution: Your Car's Resolutions for 2011... - 12/29/10 07:40 AM
We are all thinking about 2011 and what we're going to do differently to make our lives better, but what about your CAR? Well, I asked mine and here is what she said:

Resolution #1Take the First Space

When Jay drives me to that store, he always circles the lot looking for the PERFECT spot! Come on already! Just put me in that first spot and let's get a little exercise! In the automobile world we call that "killing two birds with one stone" by saving some gas and getting some extra steps in! Are those extra 20 yards … (0 comments)

resolution: Your Challenge: 10,000 No's - 12/23/10 05:22 AM
Our RE/MAX broker made an interesting challenge to our team at the beginning of the month: he challenged us to get 10,000 NO's by the end of December! You should have heard the reactions!...
I know what you're thinking: "I focus on the POSITIVE and don't want to focus on negative NOs or that is ALL I will get. Thanks, but no thanks." (Well, maybe you should read my other blog about opening your mind to the other side of the story!) You'd be in the majority of the people in that room, but hear me out. I'm a believer and … (58 comments)

resolution: I HATE You, Therefore I will Read You. - 11/26/10 08:10 AM
The majority of people will ask your opinion for one reason only: to confirm an idea that they already have.
Think of the woman trying on the dress then asking the husband if he likes it or not... Wise husbands have learned how to answer these questions knowing what she is REALLY asking: "Do you like this dress TOO?"
This concept is true in most parts of our daily lives: We watch news programs with the slant we agree with; our books/newspaper are aligned with our party/group beliefs; our churches/devotions are in line with our spiritual beliefs. Have you ever tried to … (131 comments)
