fha: HUD Temporary Flipping Waiver Extended - 03/09/11 02:56 AM
In an effort to expand access to FHA mortgages and allow for the rapid resale of foreclosed properties, HUD announced a temporary waiver of the 90-day flipping restriction until December 31, 2011.
The waiver is subject to certain conditions, and eligible mortgages must meet these conditions to take advantage of the waiver. The complete text of the waiver extension, including conditions the waiver is limited to, is available on the HUD website.

CoAMP has announced a luncheon with David Stevens, Assistant Secretary for Housing at HUD and Commissioner of FHA. Commissioner Stevens has direct responsibility for oversight and administration of the FHA insurance portfolio, which includes multifamily housing and well over 20 percent of mortgages in the domestic single family market. Stevens also has responsibility for other programs within HUD, such the regulatory areas of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and the Secure and Fair Enforcement Mortgage Licensing (SAFE) Act. FHA Rule Change: Effective with case numbers pulled on or after April 18, 2011, the Annual MIP factors are going up .25% on ALL loans.What it means: Monthly MI costs are going up on FHA. Call us if you have any questions or think you might need FHA financing soon. Timing is everything.
