The Ranch at Prescott is a planned community three miles east of downtown Prescott, Arizona. Entrance to the Ranch is from Highway 69 and Lee Blvd. The Ranch which nestles on the hillsides that border the Prescott National Forest was created in 1987 by developers Jim and Linda Lee. The Ranch is currently made up of eight units that contain about 950 home sites on the 1,000 acres of the former Bullwhacker Ranch. After a two year dormancy, the Arizona Adrenaline indoor football team is returning to the Prescott area. The football team plays in the American Indoor Football Association. The team will be making Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley their home base. This gives the Prescott area two professional teams along with the semi-pro hockey team, the Arizona Sundogs

The Palace bar in Prescott, AZ. The Palace Bar first opened in September 1877. In the late 1870's, Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp and Doc Holliday were patrons of The Palace. Virgil and his wife Allie lived in Prescott where Virgil owned a saw mill at Thumb Butte and was Town Constable. Wyatt and his other brother, Morgan, visited Virgil in Prescott before they left for Tombstone. Doc was on a winning streak on Whiskey Row (possibly at The Palace) where he won $10,000 in Poker. Yes, Arizona. It is called the battle of Picacho Pass. It happened near Picacho Peak which is located between Phoenix and Tucson. On April 15, 1862. It was fought between a Union Calvary patrol from California and a party of Confederate Pickets from Tucson. Twelve Union Calvary troopers and one scout of the 1st California Cavalry, were conducting a sweep of the Picacho Peak area, looking for Confederates reported to be nearby. The Calvary were under orders not to engage them, but to wait for the main column to come up. However, their patrol surprised and captured three Confederate pickets. It (0 comments)

Mountain Club is a home subdivision of about 400 homes located 1.5 miles southwest from downtown Prescott Arizona. Established in 1925, it is the oldest housing community in Arizona. Mountain Club covers 800 acres of heavily forested hills and small canyons. The area has a country feel within city limits. Mountain Club is highly varied. There are 800 square foot cabins and large homes with over 5000 square feet. There are steep heavily forested hills and flat lots with perennial creeks. The answer, Prescott, AZ. On July 4, 1888 Prescott hosted The Frontier Cowboy's Festival. The Rodeo has continued every day since then. It all started in 1866, a group of Prescott businessmen came up with a July Fourth "cowboy contest" that would feature the best riders from area ranches and farms competing for a small cash prize at Whiskey Row bars. land: Elk Ridge Ski Area Near Prescott AZ is Awesome

Elk Ridge Ski Area is 65 miles north of downtown Prescott AZ. Though Elk Ridge is not a major ski area it has some things to offer that other ski areas lack. It is a perfect place for the casual skier. There are no crowded lift lines and several easy hills to practice on. Snow here comes and goes. So make sure you call ahead. Many did we get a strong storm roll through here in the past few days. The storm dropped between 6 and 14 inches in Prescott AZ within a day and a half. The snow has stopped and the skys are clear but the cold front is still here which means very cold temperatures. It only got to 22 degrees F today. It is 11 degrees right now and it's supposed to drop to 3 tonight. This is our taste of wintery weather. The truth is that the snow will melt away in less than two weeks and temperatures will go back to (3 comments)

Yes, this is a great time of year to be in Prescott. We just recieved about two inches of snow and our mountains are white. The entire town is lit up with Christmas decorations. There are several Christmas events going on every day. Check out http://www.cityofprescott.net/ for local events Despite the fact that we got snow, it's pleasant to be outside. I went for a bike ride this morning. The air is cool but very crisp. Come visit and soon you'll want to live here. At least you'll be aware of a Realtor that loves this time of year.

The answer, Prescott AZ. Prescott was named the capital of the Arizona territory in 1864. It held that status until 1867 where it was moved to Tucson. Prescott became the capital again in 1877 and lost the capital status to Phoenix in 1889. The first territorial capitals governor's mansion, is located at Sharlot Hall Museum grounds in downtown Prescott. The first Territorial Courthouse building was completed in 1878. The first courthouse was torn down in 1916 and replaced with the present day Courthouse. This is just a touch of the incredibe history of Prescott AZ located in northern Arizona. I visited Arcosanti which is just 35 miles east of Prescott AZ and I was amazed. This is trully one of the best examples I can think of for future urban planning. Arcosanti was started in 1970. It's ideas and principles were way ahead of its time. Now, when the nation is actually considering things like planning green and low environmental impact structures, Arcosanti makes more sense than ever. Arcosante demonstrates how 5000 people would be able to live in harmony with minimal impact upon the eaith. When complete, its structures will only occupy 25 acres! Go vosit and be amazed.
