You’ve seen signs and posters hanging around town, you’ve browsed online advertising, schedules and lineups, you pass people in the street with their ‘fringe on’, and, are wondering, just what is the Kansas City Fringe Festival all about? Continuing now through July 28th, 2013, in a nutshell, this ninth rendition of the Kansas City Fringe Festival is a celebration of local, regional, and national talent in a number of venues throughout Kansas City. Numerous live performances include theater, dance, performance art, visual art, spoken word, puppetry, storytelling, film and fashion.

It's hard to beat the eclectic mix of art, music, food, and much more that you'll find on First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City, Missouri. First Fridays in the Crossroads is a great way to kick-off your weekend, and, especially tonight, given the wonderful weather and long July 4th weekend! Most galleries and shops are open until at least 10pm, with many food/beverage/entertainment establishments just getting started at that time--fun, Fun, FUN! Begin your evening at around 18th & Baltimore, and work your way out from there--hope to see you there!
