first time homebuyer tax credit: If you missed the April 30th deadline --- YOU will make more money buying NOW! - 07/30/10 09:36 AM

You are a first time homebuyer and missed the April 30th deadline.     No worries, you actually can make MORE now!     With the interest rates almost a full percentage lower since April 30th, over a 30 year mortgage, the savings can be over $30,000!
With a $200,000 mortgage, and the mortgage rates at 5.25% THEN, and now at 4.25%, the savings could be even over $30,000!    AREN'T YOU GLAD YOU WAITED!    Now that $6,500 (for move-up buyers) or $8,000 (for first time homebuyers) looks LOW!@#!    This is based on a 30 year rate, and if you go to a 15 … (12 comments)

first time homebuyer tax credit: Four month delay in First Time Homebuyer Rebate - 01/25/10 05:43 AM
Filing for your $8,000 tax credit will take some patience!     There is no e-file provision, as the government is requiring documentation to verify the purchase.
The bad news - the delay will take some patience!    Currently there is a 4 month delay in payment.
Good News - You WILL get it!    Just don't plan on it the day you move in!

first time homebuyer tax credit: First time Homebuyer Tax Credit - 04/30/09 04:35 AM
Scam artists at it again!     We as professionals in the business need to advice our first time homebuyers NOT to be tempted by any of this new stuff out on the web!       Scam artists now professing they can get double and triple the $8000 and much faster, just need to send in a deposit...... homebuyer BEWARE!

When in doubt, check with your local tax preparer, and know ONLY the government rebates this $8000 tax credit, no other entity or company.

first time homebuyer tax credit: First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit - 11/21/08 11:05 AM
This tax credit should persuade renters into purchasing their first home!    If they can qualify for a home, and get a $7500 tax credit for just buying..... sounds like quite the bonus!        The only fact that would make it ineligible - is if they use CHFA or Denver Bond monies to purchase this home --- otherwise no problem!    Cannot understand WHY more renters are not taking advantage of this!   Maybe we should alert the media --- and let them tell the general public this is available?
