I imagine we all have different reasons for posting the particular profile photos we use on AR. And perhaps changing them up now and then, say at Halloween or the Christmas holiday. There are professional ones, of course, and those that might show off our more personal sides. And every now and then you see one that makes you wonder.

I was attending the CRS Sell-a-Bration in Orlando back in 2011 being held at The Peabody Hotel.
A popular daily event at the hotel was the march of the ducks on a red carpet to this massive fountain in the lobby area. Kids and adults always gathered to enjoy the fun, and the ducks knew just what to do when they arrived by elevator.
Alas, the hotel ended the Duck March in 2013 when the hotel became a Hyatt, but it still takes place at the Memphis TN location.
I suspect I have writings or photos out there that people have stolen without me being aware of it.
But someone took my photo, AND I got an attribution for it.
And this gentleman sent me an email to let me know.

We took a walk around our neighborhood last night as the sun was setting and enjoyed some of the winter beauty in Carlsbad, namely all these beautiful flowers, bushes and trees.
The daffodils were always such a welcome sight back in New England as spring arrived, and we enjoy them here as well, although they are far less common because of our weather! One of the things we have enjoyed since living here is the beautiful greenery and flowers all year round - things are particularly nice now after all the rain we have had.
On our most recent trip to Italy in 2014 we spent a lot of time, apart from relaxing, exploring small Tuscan towns. We stumbled across Colle di Val D'Elsa about 45 minutes from the condo where we were staying.
We were walking from the parking area to the center of town looking for a particular restaurant and I was struck by the contrast between new and old when walking by this residential building. Before we moved to Carlsbad we used to visit our daughter, who was at USC in LA, several times a year, and a popular hangout was the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Lots of shopping, a variety of restaurants, and some terrific people watching incuding the many street performers made it a fun and entertaining place to visit for an afternoon.
The tradition of visiting the 3rd Street Promenade continued after we moved to Carlsbad, and when visiting our daughter in LA in 2007 we spied this Chihuahua all dressed up and ready to hang ten at … (27 comments)
