A Pleasant Visit to the Batiquitos Lagoon in Carlsbad July 2019
We were out driving by a house in Cardiff that I hope to list soon, this past Sunday, and decided to take a walk at the Batiquitos Lagoon in South Carlsbad. We used to walk there regularly when we lived in nearby La Costa but since moving north to the Calavera Hills area it’s not been happening as often.
There was a pretty heavy marine layer, so no sun, which was actually quite nice for a walk. The photos, however, are not as colorful as they might otherwise be. Given it was … (15 comments)

The Agua Hedionda Lagoon in Carlsbad
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon is another of Carlsbad aquatic treasures. It’s one of 3 lagoons in Carlsbad, in addition to the Batiquitos Lagoon in south Carlsbad, bordering the Aviara area, and the Buena Vista Lagoon, to the north of Carlsbad Village and bordering Oceanside.

The Agua Hedionda Lagoon extends inland not far from Cannon Road to the ocean. A number of residential communities bordering the lagoon in this 92008 zip code have wonderful views extending to the ocean
