There are plenty of reasons to love living in, or visiting, Carlsbad CA. That includes our beaches, the arts, dining, shopping, recreational opportunities, housing, sports, parks and greenspace, and our weather.

CARLSBAD FLOWER FIELDS The Flower Fields have been a popular attraction for Carlsbadians and visitors for decades. San Diegans refer to living in our part of the country as being in paradise. With terrific weather most of the year (never too hot or too cold), and an abundance of sunny days, it’s pretty hard to complain.
Those of us living in Carlsbad, of course, feel that way, too. But there are other reasons besides the weather to love living here by the beautiful Pacific Ocean, or to be drawn here for visits, year after year. And for those who wish to buy, to be willing and able to pay (25 comments)

Naturally when one thinks of Carlsbad, and specifically Carlsbad Village, the immediate lifestyle theme centers around the beach. With 7 miles of coastline, many settle here, or visit, to be near the beach and enjoy a myriad of activities in the water, on the beach, and nearby.
This is the sort of blogging challenge that is not a challenge at all. I have really liked living in Carlsbad, since moving here in April of 2005, so it’s easy to be enthusiastic about all the great reasons to enjoy life in this Village by the Sea.

CARLSBAD WEATHER
We all say we live in paradise.

What an apt name for this charming seaside town located about 35 miles north of San Diego in Southern California. But a sleepy coastal village Carlsbad is not - there is lots going on in this growing community of 105,000.
HOUSING MARKET The housing market in Carlsbad is pretty robust, although like elsewhere in San Diego's North County, the community has experienced a slowing of appreciation, an increase in inventory from a year ago, and an overall shift from fast-moving seller's market to a more buyer-friendly one at different times as the economy shift.
