I just happened to be looking out the back upstairs window yesterday morning and spied the Roadrunner in our backyard. He (or she) had come for breakfast and had snared one of the lizards we often see in our yard. If you've not seen one, they are quite large - about 2 feet from beak to tip of tail - and run quite fast.
S/he wandered around the yard with the lizard dangling for about 10 minutes,then finally jumped onto the fence and left. Hope it enjoyed breakfast wherever it decided to dine! … (21 comments)
