Wordless Wednesday: Sunset Crow Show
The crows were going nuts the other night outside our house...hundreds and hundreds in the trees, on all the neighbors' houses, in driveways, and in the road. It made for an interesting sunset. And a rather noisy one.
The recent sunsets have been particularly colorful...but there's quite a sad note to all this beauty.
Smoke from the massive fire in Orange County to our north is drifting west and out over the ocean, causing brilliant colors as the sun sets, but a painful reminder of what's still happening with the Bond Fire (now about 70% contained with over … (18 comments)

Clouds to Grill By in Carlsbad
I have been a big fan of grilling outside for many years, especially in the summer months. Given the weather in New England I have to say I was more of a fair weather grill guy...none of that grilling in my parka and snow boots for me.
I've continue the tradition since moving to SoCal, and of course here with our weather I can grill out virtually every day of the year unless it's pouring rain...which is rare.
