Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot On O‘ahu, 2019 was THE hottest year in recorded history according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. City and County of Honolulu reported record breaking heat 135 times and the record for daily high temperature was tied 138 times, according to Honolulu Magazine. Aug. 31, 2019 was the hottest day of the year. The heat map of the island recorded 77,456 measurements of temperature at various times of the day.
